<Cosmic Flight Log>

1、COSMIC FLIGHT LOG is a narrative illustration project featuring a small astronaut as the protagonist. Set in a future where Earth has become uninhabitable, the story follows his journey through the vastness of space in search of a new home. Along the way, he encounters breathtaking interstellar landscapes and forms heartfelt connections with new friends from different planets. Through these encounters, he learns about companionship, communication, and resilience. The journey ultimately leads him to a planet that has come back to life—symbolizing a new beginning for civilization.

The series combines rich visuals with emotional storytelling to capture the beauty of the cosmos and the enduring hope for renewal.

2、HAMPTON COURT PALACE MEMORIES is a historical fantasy illustration project narrated through the eyes of a small fairy and a raven. It retells the complex and tragic love story between Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII, blending romantic imagination with the dark undertones of power and ambition. Through the unique perspectives of these non-human characters, the illustrations reinterpret Tudor history with a touch of folklore and symbolism. The fairy represents innocence and hope, while the raven embodies fate and political intrigue. Rich in atmosphere and visual contrast, the series explores the tension between love and control, desire and downfall—revealing not only a royal romance, but also the deeper costs of power and wealth.
The result is a poetic visual narrative that bridges fantasy and historical reality.

3、CALLING BACK is an illustration project rooted in a personal childhood experience. As a child, I developed a sudden and intense fever after visiting ancestral graves during the Qingming Festival. Though the memory remains vague and fragmented, it has always carried a strange, dreamlike weight—frequently retold by my family, and imbued with mystery in my mind. Childhood memories often blur the line between reality and imagination, and through this project, I attempted to reconstruct that surreal episode using scattered clues and emotional impressions.

The project combines multiple media to evoke the tension between the real and the imagined: four traditional Chinese ink paintings, a handmade book, four digital illustrations, and a set of small figurines crafted from polymer clay. These works incorporate elements of folk beliefs, ritual, hallucination, and dream imagery, aiming to capture the poetic confusion and awe a child feels when confronted with the unknown. Ultimately, Calling Back the Soul is a personal act of storytelling—an exploration of memory as both trauma and myth.

4、Book of the Dead is an illustration project inspired by ancient Egyptian funerary culture, particularly the iconic Book of the Dead. In Egyptian belief, the soul required a detailed guide—a visual and textual map—to navigate the trials of the underworld and reach the afterlife. These scrolls represented a structured vision of death, filled with myth, judgment, and cosmic order.

Using the metaphor of modern navigation, this project reinterprets that spiritual journey in the form of a long scroll illustration. The imagery blends ancient Egyptian symbols with contemporary visual storytelling, tracing the soul’s path through the afterlife—guided not by GPS, but by ritual, myth, and fate.

A key element of the project is a handcrafted polymer clay sculpture representing the Weighing of the Heart—the pivotal moment of judgment before Osiris, where the deceased’s heart is measured against the feather of Ma’at. This iconic scene, recreated in three dimensions, emphasizes the themes of morality and justice central to ancient Egyptian belief, while providing a tangible, sculptural counterpart to the illustrated narrative.

<A Bow Like A Butterfly>(1-13)
4、A Bow Like a Butterfly is a graphic novel set in a surreal, otherworldly realm. It follows the journey of the protagonist, 01, who escapes a life of confinement and systemic control in pursuit of freedom, identity, and connection. This is a story of awakening—one marked by friendship, transformation, and quiet rebellion.

The “bow” in the title is not a character, but a symbolic object woven throughout the narrative. Light as a butterfly, it represents fragility, hope, and the possibility of change. As 01 ventures through this dreamlike world, the bow becomes a visual metaphor for inner strength and the will to break free. Along the way, 01 encounters companions who help illuminate the path forward, leading to moments of both personal and emotional revelation.

Rendered in soft, ethereal colors, the graphic novel builds a visually poetic world where fantasy and introspection intertwine—inviting readers to reflect on what it means to reclaim oneself from systems that seek to define us.

<Me&Melon>(zine)

5、ME & MELON is a long-fold illustrated zine that tells the story of meeting my first cat during university. Melon’s arrival brought a gentle but profound shift to my life. This project captures the emotional transformation I experienced and reflects the quiet, heartfelt bond between humans and animals.

<Sleep Recipes>

6、SLEEP RECIPES is an illustration project that blends visual storytelling with lifestyle design. Centered around the concept of soothing bedtime beverages, the project advocates for a slower, more mindful way of living in today’s fast-paced world. Drawing inspiration from global culinary traditions, I created five decorative illustrations—each representing a sleep-promoting drink from a different country, reflecting unique cultural rituals surrounding rest and relaxation.

These illustrations go beyond paper: they have been printed onto fabric, transforming the artworks into tactile objects that can be experienced in everyday life or immersive display settings. By combining visual charm with material warmth, Sleep Recipes invites viewers to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the gentle rhythms of winding down.

<WHERE EMOTIONS FLOW> (3D book)

7、WHERE EMOTIONS FLOW explores how Generation Z processes negative emotions through the intimate, symbolic space of the bathroom. By using hand-crafted, three-dimensional continuous illustrations presented as a pop-up scroll book, the work transforms private emotional moments into a tactile, interactive narrative. Each unfolding scene invites viewers to reflect on the hidden rituals of vulnerability, release, and emotional resilience.
