is a long-fold illustrated zine that tells the story of me and my first cat, Melon. The journey began during my university years—a time of transition, self-discovery, and emotional exploration. Meeting Melon marked a quiet but profound turning point in my life. Her presence gently shifted the rhythm of my everyday world, introducing companionship, comfort, and a new way of seeing myself.
Through this project, I visually narrate the subtle evolution of emotion—from uncertainty and curiosity, to trust, intimacy, and quiet transformation. The illustrations are soft and tender, capturing both the external bond and the inner shifts that took place over time. More than just a story about a pet, this zine reflects a personal emotional journey—one shaped by small moments of connection that quietly change us.
ME & MELON is both a personal diary and a love letter to growth, companionship, and the quiet magic of everyday change.
